(IND-New Delhi) Sales Account Manager - Manufacturing & Automobile

**Job summary** The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join us in New Delhi or Bangalore, India. In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor responsible for achieving quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets across accounts from manufacturing, retail, and distribution verticals. You’ll need to have initiative and great focus on and ability to capture new business throughout the region by developing effective sales strategies. You'll also need to have initiative and passion to derive positive business outcomes in a fast-paced environment. As an Account Manager, you will close deals at key accounts and promote business initiatives for future success across India. You’ll need to have experience selling complex software solutions in the manufacturing, retail, and distribution industries, as well as experience working in environments with multiple lines of offerings. **Primary job responsibilities** + Manage the nominated industry accounts as a business + Design sales plans through competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and thoughtful positioning of offerings supporting Industry 4.0 + Apply your understanding of the entire customer end-to-end business models and be able to use that knowledge to develop unique Red Hat offering value propositions + Working closely with local and global industry partners + Provide territory and account leadership; lead a designated territory, including accounts, account relationships, profiling of prospective customers, and sales cycles + Develop and maintain relationships with executive and senior-level customers at key accounts **Required skills** + 8+ years of technology sales experience, including 3-5 years of experience within a software domain; hybrid cloud experience is a plus + 5+ years of experience managing industrial accounts, e.g., manufacturing, automobile, retail, etc. + Excellent knowledge and a record of successful use of proven sales processes and solutions selling strategies in the manufacturing (e.g., auto), retail, and distribution sectors + Experience supporting industrial customers with digital operations, Internet-of-Things (IoT) solutions, and Industry 4.0 + Experience in partner business and in the principles of solutions selling through partners + Outstanding record of delivering annual sales targets for direct sales + Familiarity with subscription sales models + Experience with and knowledge of the operating system, middleware, and virtualization segments + Excellent planning, financial, and analytical skills; ability to apply these skills to complex situations with competing priorities using excellent business insight + Culturally-savvy with experience working across borders; ability to collaborate easily with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds + Good customer orientation and presentation skills **About Red Hat** Red Hat (https://www.redhat.com/) is the world’s leading provider of enterpriseopen source (https://www.redhat.com/en/about/open-source) software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver reliable and high-performing Linux, hybrid cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
