**Job summary**
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join us in either Mumbai or New Delhi, India. In this role, you will guide a team of senior direct sales representatives in achieving quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets across manufacturing, retail, and distribution verticals. You will motivate, coach, and mentor your Sales team to grow existing accounts and capture new business throughout the region by developing effective sales strategies. You'll need to have the initiative and passion to lead a team in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment. As a Senior Account Manager, you will also close deals at key accounts and promote business initiatives for future success across the India region. You’ll need to have experience selling complex software solutions in the manufacturing, retail, and distribution industries, as well as experience working in environments with multiple lines of offerings.
**Primary job responsibilities**
+ Design sales plans through competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and thoughtful positioning of offerings
+ Provide both disciplined and ethical guidance to the Sales team that fosters success based on a culture of respect for customers and Red Hat’s associates
+ Evangelize and embed an effective sales qualification and pipeline management process
+ Develop and maintain relationships with executive and senior-level customers at key accounts
+ Play a direct role with the Field Sales team by maintaining a personal presence and by being highly visible through direct customer engagements in the field
**Required skills**
+ 12+ years of software sales experience including 5-8 years of leadership experience within a technology sales organization; software sales experience is a plus
+ Outstanding record of delivering annual sales targets for direct sales
+ Excellent knowledge and successful use of proven sales processes and solutions selling strategies in the manufacturing, retail, and distribution sectors
+ Thorough understanding of the enterprise and middleware marketplace and trends
+ Familiarity with subscription models
+ Experience with and knowledge of the operating system, middleware, and virtualization segments
+ Excellent planning, financial, and analytical skills; ability to apply these skills to complex situations with competing priorities using excellent business insight
+ Good customer orientation and presentation skills
